Dear Sir,
AIR RAIDS: 16th APRIL. 1938.
I have to report that at 8.40 hours on the 16th
instant the Railway was bombed by 6 enemy planes between Tu
Tong and Cheung Muk Tou, and 13 bombs were dropped at the
following places:-
6. bombs in the vicinity of Tu Tong station without
damage to the track.
5 bombs at Km. 92/11-15 damaging main line embankment,
2 bombs
15 pairs of rails and 60 sleepers.
at Km.96, telephone and telegraph wires were
interrupted.

Repairs were immediately carried out.
